"Blood'n Guts"

The above is some photo shopped commie propaganda, but it's still true. The climate of fear, instability, and confusion is tearing the Heart out of our country. Police abuse, organized racism, political inertia, and just plain bad vibes are freaking us all out.

What the fuck is wrong with us?

Is driving on U.S. highways a capital offense now? (See lifted news piece below.)

It's the evil little things that keep happening. Folks getting beat up, shot or stabbed over race, religion or orientation. Cops abusing their power, and trust by entrapping, falsely busting or just beat'n the crap out'a ya for the hell of it.

That, and last month another 100,000+ more American families lost their homes. This month may top that.

Hell of a stew.

Innocent people are routinely having guns pulled on them, getting tazered, slugged, and falsely arrested all over the country. As I say it's the out of control fear factor, and general xenophobia of this brutal era.

When police arrested Anthony Graber for speeding on his motorbike, the 25-year-old probably did not see himself as an advocate for police accountability in the age of new media.

But Graber, a sergeant with the Maryland Air National Guard, is now facing 16 years in prison, not for dangerous driving, but for a Youtube video he posted after receiving a speeding ticket.

The video, filmed with a camera mounted on Graber's motorcycle helmet designed to record biking stunts rather than police abuse, shows a plain clothes officer jumping out of an unmarked car and pointing a pistol at the motorcyclist.

It does not portray the policeman in a positive light.

After he posted the video on Youtube, police raided Graber's home, seized computers and put him in jail.

"The case is critical to the protection of democracy because I don't think you can have a free country in which public officials are able to criminally prosecute people who film what they are doing," David Rocah, a lawyer with the American Civil Liberties Union in Maryland who is representing Graber, said.

Even though he had never been arrested before, Graber could face 16 years in jail.

"This is about shielding the policeman, a public servant, from journalistic scrutiny," Steve Rendall, a media analyst with Freedom and Accuracy in Reporting (FAIR), told Al Jazeera.

(If he were Black or Brown he'd have been tazered. He'd probably be dead now.)

Here in the UK we have 'policing by consent' which is what folk now use when the bully boys get a bit above themselves.

Thanks for posting this.

I don't know what Micky's taking but I wish he would share it.

'policing by consent', you are having a Turkish, son.

Our filth is every bit as corrupt, incompetent and illiberal as the Yanks.

The only advantage we have is that the useless bastards are not routinely armed.

This copper was lucky the National Guardsman wasn't carrying his gun and blew the fascist away.

What is the charge that could result in a 16 year sentence?
