The United States may be going down, but that doesn't mean no one will live here. They'll just have to scale back: no more skyscrapers or superhighways. At this point in history those aren't good investments. As previously mentioned, Burj Dubai remains mostly empty.
Admittedly, we're in for a long rough downward slide. A Palin victory would surely accelerate that process, so it is to be fervently resisted.
