Anyhow that's me voting up there. Btw a nice lady said I couldn't use my camera in voting area so I snapped this outside. Nice multicultural direction sign too.

"No 'Bama"








A controversy has erupted at a Mississippi junior high school over allegations that a bus driver and a coach threatened students with punishment for saying Barack Obama's name.

The incidents became public when outraged parents called the studios of WAPT news in Pearl, Miss. Some said their children were threatened by a bus driver with being written up and taken to the principal's office, others that their children were told by a girls' basketball coach they would be suspended.

Reginald Simpson, a student at Pearl Junior High, explained that when students on the bus started saying, "Obama is our president," the bus driver told them she didn't want to hear his name. One kid said, "This is history woman," and according to Simpson, "She pulled over and kicked me and the kid off the bus." They were left waiting at the high school and later taken to their own school.

"They feel like they afraid to say who our president is, cause they afraid they going to be in trouble," Reginald's mother Canishia told WAPT. "We teach our kids not to be racist, and here it is going on. I just feel hurt by it."

The Simpson family is black. However, another mother whose son was on the bus and who also plans to confront school officials about the incident is white. "This is what the whole election was about," Venus Neagu told WAPT. "It was supporting someone. And now that they've done it and they're on the school bus, now they're getting consequences for it."

School officials reviewed video from the bus and promised that no students would be punished. The superintendent released a statement saying, "It appears that some persons, out of disappointment and disillusionment with the election may have been so frustrated that they said something inappropriate to students. We have taken appropriate steps with the bus driver and the coach."

(Okay the flag above is a bit over the top propagada-wise, but I was pissed.)

"OBAMA CLAUS"



Well okay I'm making a list of stuff I wants from Obama Claus!

First there's that Pony that other bum never got me.

Also I wants a big frigg'n pile of dough,..tax free bonds will due for a start.

Then I want 'that' bastard at work disappeared. I'm sure the Secret Service can take care of that detail.

I wants snow at X-Mas, door to door free limo service, a bigger dick, longer orgasums, free cable, breakfast in bed, a personal chef, a 1957 Chevy,...two tone, a generous grant to study the effects of having vast personal wealth.

...'and' I never wants to have to pay tax's ever again dammit.

Okay that'll do for today. I'll call the White House in the morning for the important stuff.

Satan was carried about on the shoulders of these hooligans. Dope was smoked, breasts were bared, buns were warmed, and the dangerous Jooish poem "Howl" was song by Gay Boy Scouts, and Lesbian Den Mothers!

"The Childrens Crusade"














Yeah it was a night to remember. As I say I'm still awake. The reality of this election that was 400 years in the making still hasn't sunk in.

We are in a new era.

I don't know what's going to happen now. Like so many other comrads I lived through the events of 1968. Perhaps that great year was our common dream of what was to come.

People wept in the streets last night. Our nightmare may be beginning to end.

Dr. King went to the mountain top, and saw the Promised Land. He saw it, but we weren't ready so we indeed spent 40 years in the desert. ...literally.

This is all kind'a Biblical.

I understand some not being able to vote for Obama. You, and I, and so many of our comrads are trapped in 19th, and 20th century ideologies.

We have old ideas of how freedom should come. Hence the desert. Our children led us out, and now they will lead us into this new, and strange land called Freedom.

"I Still Haven't Slept"









I'm still awake from yesterday. The reality of what we have done is slowly sinking in all around us. We have entered a new land. A new era. Our Hopes were not after all in vain.

The most common feeling at least amongst us old timers is the Moon Landing. Remember how that was?

Well this is the landing on the Sea of Tranquility, the March on Washington, Woodstock, the Emancipation proclamation, Stonewall, the invention of pizza, and the opening of Disneyland all rolled into one.

My view is that the American Civil War has finally ended.

Now comes the time to truly bind up the nation's wounds.

Lincoln had some things to say about times like these.




















Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure.

We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live.

It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.

But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate -- we can not consecrate -- we can not hallow -- this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract.

It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us -- that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion -- that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain -- that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom -- and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.
